We are a 5th and 6th grade campus located in the heart of the city of Canyon. We are a part of Canyon ISD and are proud to call ourselves Eagles. Our current enrollment is approximately 600 students; with 25-29 students per classroom. Our school day is from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

CIS students come from the campuses of Reeves-Hinger, Crestview and Lakeview elementary schools. The students feed into Canyon Jr. High and Canyon High School.

The teachers at CIS work in groups of two or three academic teams, Math, Science/Social Studies and Reading/Language Arts. Each team has a teaming period for student/parent conferences.

Our 5th grade students rotate on a Fine Arts wheel and our 6th grade students rotate to Band/Choir/PE daily.

Canyon Intermediate School believes in the importance of motivating students to high levels of education as well as providing a safe environment for all students to soar in life.
